Day 6 Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas 2021 Challenge

this is the tag I created for day 6 of Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas 2021 Challenge: Jingle Bells with Angela Simpson + Brenda Noelke

day 6 of Ellen Hutson's twelve tags 2021 challenge featuring gold jingle bells on a pink and purple background

I sponged a shipping tag with pink and purple distress inks, heat embossed the mama elephant sentiment in lightning black brilliance ink and added the Impression Obsession jingle bells, of course painted with twinkling H2Os and shaped with a stylus. I also used twinks to paint the greenery, a sizzix/Tim holtz die. I finished it off with gold paint splatters and gold ribbon.

Day 5 Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas 2021 Challenge

this is the tag I created for day 5 of Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas 2021 Challenge: I’ll Be Home for Christmas with Elena Roussakis + Becky Roberts

I made a light-hearted tag for this sad song – Rudolph is driving teddy home for the holidays; I used the design from my cards and reduced the size of the road and houses to fit onto the tag.

Rudolph driving a car in front of a holiday scene, a tag for Ellen Hutson's twelve tags 2021 challenge

the lawn fawn car critters and the car critters christmas add-on were watercoloured with twinkling H2Os, fussy cut and popped on foam tape. I added a red pearl to Rudolph’s nose. I also used twinkling H2Os to paint the road, free hand cut from Arches cold press watercolour paper, and the Impression Obsession trees; the sky was sponged with distress inks.

Day 4 Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas 2021 Challenge Part Two

I was having so much fun painting washes that I made another tag for day 4 of Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas 2021 Challenge. this was a two-colour wash also done with Daniel Smith watercolour paint on Arches 140 lb. cold press watercolour paper.

December 4 – Let it Snow with Lisa Spanger + Caryn Davies

this was my first time using gina k glitter paste through a pretty pink posh snowflake stencil – fun, but oh, so messy!

I used the same paste on the Impression Obsession peace sentiment that was die cut and layered three times.

Day 4 Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas 2021 Challenge

these are the tags I created for day 4 of Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas 2021 Challenge.

December 4 – Let it Snow with Lisa Spanger + Caryn Davies

Lisa loves her watercolours and so do i. I painted flat washes with Daniel Smith watercolour paints on Arches cold press watercolour paper, embossed with a variety of folders and then sanded down the surface to reveal the paper. I finished the tags off with a lawn fawn die cut snowflake, a topper and some gold sparkle twine.

Day 1 Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas 2021 Challenge

this is the tag I created for day 1 of Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas 2021 Challenge, a fun challenge I’ve played along with since 2014.

Christmas in Coffee Shop with Adelina Starace + Erica A-B is the Christmas song.

I painted the mama elephant hot cocoa image with twinkling H2Os on Arches hot press watercolour paper, fussy cut, added nuvo shimmer pen to the cream dollop and popped it on foam tape. a Studio Katia slider tag die was used for the tag and the sentiment and a lawn fawn small snowflake was die cut to embellish the mug; I finished off with some free ribbon from Ellen Hutson.

My Last Rudolph Days Challenge Design Team Card

I’m stepping down from the Rudolph Days Challenge design team for health reasons; it’s just been difficult to keep up with creating and commenting and I’ve finally accepted my limitations.

this is the card set I created for my daughter this year to send out, which I just finished in time!

Christmas card featuring lawn fawn critter stamps

it’s Rudolph driving! aren’t they cute?! I used the lawn fawn car critters and the car critters christmas add-on, fussy cut and watercoloured with twinkling H2Os. I created the road free hand, sponged the sky and added snow and used Elizabeth craft houses and trees, also sponged and sprayed with clear shimmer.

the rules to play along are simple – just create one holiday project, link it up and then leave a comment on the challenge blog for a chance to win a generous prize. Plus, there’s an extra draw if you’ve played along every month; the challenge deadline is November 30.

I’m also playing along with these challenges:

Remembering Kath at Rudolph Days

Kath, a regular participant at the Rudolph Days Challenge and a fellow team mate of mine at another challenge blog, passed away this summer; she was known for her paper piecing so in her memory, I paper pieced this Christmas card. I was in awe of her patience, especially when she made a set of cards. it’s not a technique I use because of my hands, and because I love to paint images, but I had fun with this one.

MFT elf Christmas card in blue and purple

I used winter wonderland doodlebug papers and stamped the My Favourite Things elf 5 times. thanks to my tonic scissors, I was able to cut everything except for the skin tones which I used colour pencils for on designer paper. I added stickles to the cuffs and ornament. I stamped off the little snowflake image a few times with versa fine majestic blue ink and stamped a sentiment from the mama elephant jingle greetings set. I used liquid glue on the backs of all the pieces whereas Maureen, of Rudolph Days Challenge, painted glue on the base image and then attached the pieces – brilliant.

Reverse Die Cut Poinsettias

it’s my turn to share my Rudolph Days Challenge design team card and encourage you to set aside the 25th of each month from January to November to create your holiday cards.

white poinsettia Christmas card copyright linda snailzpace.com

I originally was going to showcase this die with foil but after a few frustrating attempts, I quit and created this card very quickly. I die cut the Sizzix Tim Holtz mixed media Christmas poinsettia corner twice from white cardstock and sponged with distress inks: scattered straw, salty ocean, twisted citron, and evergreen bough. The envelope was placed underneath to get a light impression with the same distress inks.

I finished off by stamping the sentiment from the Visible Image Sentimental Christmas stamp set. I love this set; it’s perfect to send cards to those who might not be so merry during the holidays.

You only need to create 1 holiday project and leave a comment on Maureen’s blog to be eligible for a lovely prize and you have until September 30 to join in. Countdown to mailing those holiday cards – 2 months!

I’m also playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Card and Matching Envelope challenge.

Merry Millie Rainbow Christmas Card

This is my third card for the Taylored Expressions 13th Birthday Toffee and Rainbows challenge. I love Kraft and I never would have thought of making a rainbow Christmas card, but it was so much fun.

rainbow Christmas card featuring Santa and millie mouse copyright linda snialzpace.com

I painted these cute Taylored Expressions Merry Millie stamp set images with twinkling H2Os on Arches hot press watercolour paper, fussy cut and popped with TE foam sticky circles on a panel of the watercolour paper, using the deckle edge at the top for the snow drift. permanent markers were used to colour the gems for the Little Bits Christmas Treesand I painted each letter of the sentiment with tomboy markers from the bright set. i die cut the Little Bits Jingle Bells from hot press w/c paper too and painted them with twinkling H2Os; for extra sparkle, they were sprayed with sheer shimmer sparkle spray. finally, they were shaped with a stylus and popped up with the sticky circles. everything was attached to the Kraft, stamped with hero arts white ink with the TE Snow Day Background stamp.

Pink And Purple Poinsettias On Kraft

I’m happy I finally have some time to create! I’m playing along with the Taylored Expressions’ 13th Birthday Celebration Challenges.

first I sponged hero arts unicorn white pigment ink through the TE Poinsettia & Pine stencil on Kraft cardstock. this card is for the toffee and rainbow theme challenge, and it was a challenge, but I used all bright colours of distress inks: wilted violet, mustard seed, picked raspberry spiced marmalade, evergreen bough, twisted citron, and salty ocean.

pink and purple poinsettia Christmas card on Kraft cardstock

the happy holidays sentiment from the TE Baby, It’s Cold Outside stamp set was heat embossed in white and it fit perfectly in the rounded edge TE flag it die. the strip on the left was a leftover scrap from another project – the TE Snow Day Background was stamped in white.

Have A Cheesy Holiday

we’re more than half way through the year and it’s July 25 so time for me to share my Design Team creation for another Rudolph’s Days Challenge, hosted by Maureen.

Christmas tag non traditional colours mouse on cheese

I used Waffle Flower Holiday Cheese images, painted with twinkling H2Os on Arches hot press watercolour paper and fussy cut – next time I’ll just buy the die. I accidentally cut off the cheeseboard sign so I substituted a thin strip of black cardstock for the sign post and cut the sign twice; once from black cardstock embossed in white and once from woodgrain paper. I used foam tape to attach to the background, made by a brayer and yellow distress inks before embossing: mustard seed and wild honey. of course I added stickles to the hats.

back of Christmas cheese tag with happy holidays s sentiment and bottom star border

for the tag backs, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Waffle Flower Classic Holiday Sentiments set and used mustard seed distress ink and the smallest solid star stamp from the same set to create the star border on the front and back. to finish off, I used the mustard seed DI to colour the seam binding.

even though it’s non traditional colours, I like that it’s still festive. just a reminder that you only need to submit one holiday creation to play along, leave a comment on Maureen’s blog and you’ll be eligible for a chance to win a generous prize. you’ll also be a step closer to being ready to mail out those holidays cards in 4 months.

I’m also playing along with the Waffle Flower Christmas In July Challenge: week 1 inspiration was unconventional colours and week 3 was tags.

Kraft Christmas Card For Rudolph Days Challenge

can you believe it? it’s time for the monthly Rudolph Days Challenge, hosted by Maureen at scrappymo’s, and it’s my turn to encourage you to create your holidays cards on a monthly basis.

Kraft Christmas card featuring Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer copyright linda snialzpace.com

this was a fairly QAE (quick and easy) creation; I spent most of my time sponging brushed corduroy distress ink around Rudolph, CZ Design, the edge border and the sentiment, all of which was cut from Kraft cardstock. I LOVE the Taylored Expressions Snow Day background stamp – it has a variety of detailed snowflakes and dots and it’s a good quality red rubber stamp. I used hero arts white pigment ink and just let it air dry while I cut Rudolphs – I’ll have a set of 8 when I’m done; I ran out of time to finish by this post. I added cranberry stickles to the nose on the left but it was much easier for my hands to just cut the nose on the right from red glitter cardstock.

I hope to see you join the challenge over at Maureen’s where you can enter for a chance to win a lovely prize.

Peace For Rudolph Days March 2021

I’m sharing my DT creations for the Rudolph Days Challenge, hosted by Maureen at her blog.

Christmas cards featuring peace die cut sentiment with embossed holly background copyright Linda snailzpace.com

I used this beautiful Penny Black peace die, a gift from Maureen for being a DT member, to cut green cardstock and sponged it with distress inks: shabby shutters, pine needles and chipped sapphire. I added red gloss gems, no longer available but they measure 3 mm. to finish the card, I used the taylored expressions holly embossing folder and lightly brayered with brushed corduroy distress ink.

like so many dies, I thought this one was versatile so I die cut with matte gold foil paper, coloured the berries with the only two spectrum noir markers I have and added the smallest Marianne design rhinestones that I coloured with permanent markers. the card stock is actually dark teal and I added a matte gold border to finish it off.

the rules are so simple and there’s a chance to win a generous prize from maureen so why not get a head start on holiday cards; or keep adding to your pile of cards so there’ll be no last minute rush.

I’m playing along with the Penny Black Saturday Challenge for March and the Anything Goes option.

Happy Rudolph Days January 2021

it’s a new year and we’re here at the Rudolph Days Challenge, hosted by Maureen, to inspire you to create holiday cards every month to avoid the stress of not being ready for mailing deadlines.

this month I’m featuring a beautiful Tattered Lace bow die set, a DT gift from Maureen, that I had a lot of fun with.

first up is a tag: I cut purple mirri paper with the middle size bow and attached it with just a dot of glue to a square cut from festive doodlebug winter wonderland paper I finished it off with a lawn fawn sentiment and twine.

I cut gold mirri paper with all three dies and attached them to some red plaid paper, leftover from the gnome cards; it’s from a bo bunny paper pad, Christmas Treasures, that measures 6 inches wide and 8 inches long – perfect for those longer style cards. the merry is lawn fawn.

what to do with leftover bits? confetti! I used a toothpick to dot liquid glue in spots and attached the purple mirri bits with a Marvy jewel picker. if you’re looking for a therapeutic activity, this is it; I got a bit absorbed with deciding where the bits would go. I used the same lawn fawn die set for the happy, also cut from purple mirri for this 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch card.

the rules are simple: just submit one Christmas creation for a chance to win a generous prize from Maureen and leave a comment on her blog.

Snow Bun Fun

this is the card that I made a set of eight for my daughter to send to her fellow animal lovers for the holidays.

santa and snow bunnies card 👮‍♀️ right Linda snailzpace.comy

I have to thank Keeway for this design; I loved her card but i made mine a bit smaller so i could just focus on bunnies. the sky was sponged and the bunnies were painted with twinkling H2Os on Arches hot press watercolour paper, fussy cut and popped on foam tape.

12 Tags Of Christmas 2020 Day 11

I did it! this is my last tag, day 11, for Ellen Hutson’s Twelve Tags of Christmas 2020 Challenge.

December 11 – Deck the Halls with Kelly Griglione. Kelly wanted to see one of two choices and I chose: 1) be inspired by the title of the song and “deck” out your tags with pine branches, holly, berries, etc.

I cut the Sizzix/Tim Holtz Mixed Media Christmas holly die from Kraft card stock that was stamped with the Penny Black Christmas words background. I layered the negative cut piece over another piece of kraft, sponged the hollyhocks with distress inks, shaped the leaves, and inlaid the images. I added stickles to just the tops of the berries, sponged the edges and sprayed all over with Imagine gold sheer shimmer spray. it’s finished off with a gold ribbon through the hanger, again from the Ellen Hutson shaker globe die set.

so much inspiration, as always, but I ran out of time to make any more for the fun challenge.

12 Tags Of Christmas 2020 Day 12 Part Two

day 12 of of Ellen Hutson’s Twelve Tags of Christmas 2020 Challenge.

December 12 – 12 Days of Christmas with Julie Ebersole. Julie’s tags inspired me with her foiling technique; yay, I can foil! I watched the video and learned what I’ve been doing wrong. I painted this tiny bird for a partridge in a pear tree from the mama elephant holidays bitties set with twinkling H2Os on Arches hot press watercolour paper, die cut matte gold foil card stock with a lawn fawn winter tiny tags ornament die and foiled the berries with red foil.

12 Tags Of Christmas 2020 Day 12

this is my tag for day 12 of of Ellen Hutson’s Twelve Tags of Christmas 2020 Challenge.

December 12 – 12 Days of Christmas with Julie Ebersole. Julie’s tags inspired me with her clean and simple design, along with the lyrics three French hens. I I started bypass paining the background with twinkling H2Os on Arches hot press watercolour paper, then the birds and then the bias binding with the same paints. i used stickles on the pom poms and added a mama elephant sentiment from the mini merry messages stamp set.

12 Tags Of Christmas 2020 Day 10

day 10 of Ellen Hutson’s Twelve Tags of Christmas 2020 Challenge.

December 10 – Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer with Adelina Starace. I was inspired by the lyrics, ‘But as for me and grandpa we believe.’ I painted this mama elephant reindeer with twinkling H2Os on Arches hot press watercolour paper, fussy cut and attached it to a brown plaid piece of paper that was die cut with a mama elephant scallop trio tag. I added stickles to the hat and glossy accents to the nose and jingle bell.

12 Tags Of Christmas 2020 Day 9 Part 2

my second tag for Day 9 of Ellen Hutson’s Twelve Tags of Christmas 2020 Challenge.

December 9 – Holly Jolly Christmas with Carly Tee Minner. Carly’s bold ‘holly jolly’ tag inspired me, along with the lyrics, to create this second tag featuring a Burl Ives snowman with Rudolph; one of my favourite Christmas shows. The images are Inkadinkado, painted with twinkling H2Os on Arches hot press watercolour paper. I used a mama elephant sentiment on a tag and finished with a green ribbon.

12 Tags Of Christmas 2020 Day 9

my tag for Day 9 of Ellen Hutson’s Twelve Tags of Christmas 2020 Challenge.

December 9 – Holly Jolly Christmas with Carly Tee Minner. Carly’s bold ‘holly jolly’ tag reinforced the lyrics already staying in my head: ‘say hello to friends you know and everyone one you meet.’

snowman tag in green and violet copyright linda snailzpace.com

so I used the mama elephant hello die, layered to make it look like snow on the top edge, added a Penny Black sticker (retired) and I used the same green card stock to cut the hanger, once again from the Ellen Hutson snow globe die. I finished it off with some Lawn Fawn hemp.

12 Tags Of Christmas 2020 Day 8

well it’s a good thing the deadline for the tags is December 16. I’m up to Day 8 of Ellen Hutson’s Twelve Tags of Christmas 2020 Challenge.

December 8 – We Wish You a Merry Christmas with Emily Mydlowski. I was inspired by the figgy pudding lyrics, and Ardyth’s tag colours and how the snowmen popped against the background. I painted the Clearly Besotted penguin with twinkling H2Os on Arches hot press watercolour paper, fussy cut, and attached it to the front of the mama elephant framed tags union square die. I stamped the inside with a Darcie’s sentiment.

12 Tags Of Christmas 2020 Day 7

I’m up to Day 7 of Ellen Hutson’s Twelve Tags of Christmas 2020 Challenge

December 7 – A Marshmallow World with Heather Meeson. I love the red and white striped snowman hat and scarf on Heather’s tag and that’s what inspired me. I used the Inky Antics marshmallow friends image, painted with twinkling H2Os on Arches hot press watercolour paper and added glossy accents to the straw and red stripes – not exactly arthritis friendly so it’s a bit wobbly. to finish it off, I fussy cut, and attached it to some doodlebug paper on foam tape and added a green bow. the sentiment is from the same set.

12 Tags Of Christmas 2020 Day 4

this is my tag for Day 4 of the Ellen Hutson’s Twelve Tags of Christmas 2020 Challenge.

December 4 – Sleigh Ride with Lisa Spangler. I love Lisa’s sleigh with an adorable bunny and how mr. bunny helped during her painting session so I was inspired to add some bunnies to my tag.

I masked off the upper portion of the tag to sponge the background with distress inks; the bottom snow bank was die cut. snowflakes were stamped with hero arts white ink and I added stickles to the edges of the snow banks. I painted the images with twinkling H2Os on Arches hot press watercolour paper, die cut with coordinating dies and popped them all on foam tape. I added glossy accents to the sleigh trim and stickles to teddy’s hat and finished it off with a sentiment.

12 Tags Of Christmas 2020 Day 6

my tag for day 6 of Ellen Hutson’s Twelve Tags of Christmas 2020 Challenge.

December 6 – Home for the Holidays with Michele Ferguson. Michelle created a cozy cabin scene and I was ready to use a cabin but the current situation influenced my thoughts – people may not be home for the holidays and may have to spend it wherever they are. This little mouse is cozy in a walnut shell so that’s where my creativity took me.  I painted with twinkling H2Os on Arches hot press watercolour paper and matted with Ellen Hutson essential circles and the hanger from the EH shaker globe die set.

12 Tags Of Christmas 2020 Day 5

I’m up to day 5 of Ellen Hutson’s Twelve Tags of Christmas 2020 Challenge.

December 5 – White Christmas with Jessica Frost-Ballas. Lisa’s tag inspired me with her polar bear and northern lights. I have all the Daniel Smith paints Lisa used and I was looking forward to trying her technique to create a sky; I love painting skies. But, all my attempts with DS paints and Arches cold press watercolour paper were trashed. My conclusion is that I am too used to painting on Arches hot press watercolour paper and using Twinkling H2Os that have very different characteristics, not to mention my painting style is controlled. While it was fun trying Lisa’s technique, in the end I used my usual twinks and cold press w/c paper to get the result I was ok with.

I painted the memory box wood bear stamp with twinkling H2Os on Arches hot press watercolour paper, fussy cut and popped it on foam tape; it was sprayed all over with imagine sheer shimmer spray clear that doesn’t show.

12 Tags Of Christmas 2020 Day 3

I’m up to day 3 of Ellen Hutson’s Twelve Tags of Christmas 2020 Challenge.

December 3 – Here Comes Santa Claus with Therese Calvird. Therese inspired me to use black card stock for the houses instead of my usual white. I used a portion of the mama elephant hilly neighbourhood die and attached sponged yellow card stock behind. I sponged the shadows and sky and added a mama elephant Santa.

12 Tags Of Christmas 2020 Day 2

I’m trying to catch up on Ellen Hutson’s Twelve Tags of Christmas 2020 Challenge.

mama elephant Lamb on musical background paper tag copyright linda snailzpace.com

December 2 – The Little Drummer Boy with Ardyth Percy-Robb. Ardyth’s tag is whimsical with a gingerbread playing the drum. nothing similar in my stash although I did create a whimsical tag for the phrase, ‘the ox and lamb kept time.’ this mama elephant lamb looked like he would enjoy a beat; plus, I attached a mini wobble to see him in action. I painted with twinkling H2Os on Arches hot press watercolour paper and cut with coordinating dies. I used a sunny studio tag die that includes a die to add a border and the reinforcement; I thought the red glitter was festive.

thanks for popping by.

12 Tags Of Christmas 2020 Day 1

I’m playing along with Ellen Hutson’s Twelve Tags of Christmas 2020 Challenge for the seventh year; this year’s tags are based on the designers’ favourite holiday songs.

snow globe tag copyright Linda snilazpace.com

December 1 – Silver Bells with Sandy Allnock. Sandy used the Ellen Hutson Shaker Globe and airbrushed a purple sky with buildings in the front of the scene. I used the same die but die cut silver card stock and sponged distress inks for the sky: chipped sapphire and dusty concord. I added snowflakes with a white pen. I used a portion of houses from Elizabeth craft designs die, sponged with chipped sapphire distress ink and added stickles to the rooftops. the windows were cut separately and then I painted shadows on them with twinkling H2Os and a size 0000 watercolour paint brush before adding shine with a clear glaze pen. I added stickles on the snow bank and added two layers of a silver peel off sticker sentiment. finally, I added a white sheer ribbon with a silver thread edge.

Plum Pudding For Penguin

after creating multi-step cards, it was quite relaxing to just sit and colour this little cutie!

this one layer card features one of the cute Clearly Besotted penguins from the Christmas Plushies clear stamp set; I coloured with prismacolour coloured pencils.

A Pair Of Penguins

this is my design team card for the last Rudolph Days Challenge of 2020; hopefully you have a nice stash of cards ready to go if you’ve been playing along.

I made a heart easel card featuring these adorable penguins from the Evelin T Designs ‘fun in the snow‘ clear stamp set. I painted with twinkling H2Os on Arches hot press watercolour paper, fussy cut and popped them on foam tape.I sponged the background, splattered with gesso and then added some white dots with a white marker.

I sponged this heart with distress inks too, then heat embossed the sentiment and stacked about eight hearts; to finish it off, I added stickles to the edge and the hat.

on to the gnomes.

while I was commenting for the September Rudolph Days Challenge, I found Carol’s sweet card featuring the Simon Says Stamp lil gnome die; it was the first time I saw him and had to have him.

gnome Christmas card in blue and white copyright snailzpace.com

I thought it would make a quick and easy card but I’ve only got one done so far – all the bits and pieces take a bit of time to assemble. I used the Ellen Hutson tree die over blue card stock that was splattered with white paint and popped the gnome on foam tape.

remember it’s anything goes at Maureen’s Rudolph Days Challenge for a chance to win a fabulous prize; you have until the end of the month to play along.

Lantern With Jingle Bells

I made a second card for the Reverse Confetti NOVEMBER STOCK YOUR STASH holiday/winter theme.

just like the previous card, I painted the Reverse Confetti lantern stamp with twinkling H2Os on Arches hot press watercolour paper, cutting everything with the coordinating dies. I attached clear acetate behind the lantern and popped it all on foam tape. I stamped one of the sentiments in the set with versa clair rain forest ink and added a shimmer green card stock border.

Lantern With Poinsettias

I’m playing along with the Reverse Confetti NOVEMBER STOCK YOUR STASH holiday/winter theme.

I am so glad I ordered the Reverse Confetti lantern stamp and die set released in September; they’re perfect for an A2 card. I painted with twinkling H2Os on Arches hot press watercolour paper, cut with the coordinating dies and fussy cut an extra two poinsettias for dimension. the centre dots are a gold metallic marker. I attached clear acetate behind the lantern and popped it all on foam tape. I stamped one of the sentiments in the set with versa clair rain forest ink and added a shimmer green card stock border.

Eat, Snooze and Be Merry

I was asked to make a holiday card for someone who loves sloths; luckily, Clearly Besotted released this sweet clear stamp set full of holidays sloths, eat snooze and be merry.

I wanted to create a cozy indoor spot for this sweet sloth. I painted the images with twinkling H2Os on Arches hot press watercolour paper, fussy cut and popped them on foam tape; the base is a separate stacked image in the same set that I cut apart.  I used the Penny Black wood floors die with white card stock and some Penny Black festive and frosty paper for the wall. to finish it off, I added stickles to the tree and speech bubble.

One Stencil, Two Cards For Rudolph Days

it’s time for me to share my design team creation for this month’s Rudolph Days Challenge, hosted By Maureen, where you have until the end of the month to play along for a chance for a lovely prize; the detailed list of all the rules are posted on maureen’s blog.

I used an everyday penny black stencil, petite blossom, that I thought would pass for holiday greenery; I stencilled hickory smoke distress ink onto white card stock and used a strip of red glitter paper to accent the die cut sentiment. for the second card I spritzed the stencil and pressed watercolour paper onto it to get the opposite look.

Update: Creative Expressions sentiment die and Wendy Vecchi – Make Art – Stay-tion – 7 Inch for stencil use.
