One Of A Kind

i’m playing along with the 101 waterolour challenge; over the next couple of weeks we’ll be playing with masks, so this week’s assignment is to create watercolor backgrounds with the assistance of background stamps and embossing powder. i watched all three videos linked from class and i decided to use the technique from catherine pooler’s tutorial; since my painting is controlled, i liked the more controlled look of her sample.

i bought this hero arts background stamp with my daughter in mind because i knew she’d love the pattern and shamefully, this is the first time i’ve used it. i heat embossed with white ep and i only used a yellow and a blue twinkling H2O and let them naturally turn into green in spots; it’s matted on green card stock because that’s my daughter’s favourite colour. i heat embossed the sentiment on vellum, attached die cut hearts out of the same painted paper and some gems. thanks for popping by.

  1. Absolutely love it. You’re amazing with the H20’s and this is a perfect stamp pattern to really show off your skills. TFS

Sorry, I’m late with comments and such, crazy week for me. You’ve done this assignment perfectly and I REALLY like that card. Big Hugs sweetie, Victoria Lavender 101: Watercolor
