Lemonade With Friends

i was commissioned to make a card for someone who wanted bright, cute, cheerful and with mice; it was so much fun to colour these penny black mice images from the ‘homemade’ set. as usual, i coloured with distress ink pads and twinkling H2Os and i masked the sentiment to stamp half on the first panel and the other half on the second; i added a blank white panel to the the final section of the s-fold as requested for a hand written note after i took this photo. i lightly sponged the image panels with distress ink and used patterned paper from pink pettitcoat; i was inspired by sally’s adorable lemonade card.

i’d like to submit this card to these challenges:
crafty ribbons challenge – three of something
a little bit crafty – summer sun ends august 30
animal friends #5 – summer ends august 31
crafting when we can – lemon and lime ends august 17

  1. Wow thanks Linda for linking back to my card. I loved making this and can’t believe I was picked as a winner too! It’s a good way to start the day :)
Love your card and the image inside is perfect.
    Thanks again
    Hugs Sally xxxx

  2. Your card is just so adorable and sweet! I love the bright colors and papers you chose. Your coloring is fabulous! Thanks so much for joining us at Crafting When We Can and good luck! Hugs, Robin

  3. As usual, delightful DI coloring. This one is so sparling & bright, and I adore that PB image. Liked the way you split up the sentiment…brilliant. I’m sure your requester loved this card as much as I did. TFS

  4. Eine wunderschöne sommerliche Karte. Eine Zitronenlimonade erfrischt bei dem warmen Wetter sehr. Vielen Dank für die Teilnahme an der Animal Friends Challenge. Ganz liebe Grüße Silvi

  5. Linda, thanks so much for sending me the tips in your comment. I am using either #90 Canson or 140Strathmore & Canson. The 140 seems too ‘thick’ when I use on a card, so I bought some 90. I’m going to look for some Fabriano paper, as I’ve read that is a good quality. Haven’t seen it locally though. Thanks again for taking time to offer some good suggestions. Much appreciated.

I'd love to know what you think!
