Magnolias

this feels like the longest winter and it seems to be taking forever for spring blossoms to appear, so i decided to colour my own flowers while i’m waiting.

card with pink magnolias, green leaves and pink and green paper with two lacy punched borders
i coloured the flourishes magnolia image with twinkling H2Os in my favourite pink/green combo; i also punched some eyelet borders with my favourite ek success punch and added a 1/8″ green ribbon next to it. i’m playing along with the moxie fab world tuesday trigger, which provided an inspiration photo of magnolias. i’m also submitting this to the pretty little ribbon challenge – spring is in the air and the papercraft star challenge to use a stamp.

ETA: i’m also submitting this to the moxie fab world wonder of watercolor challenge. thanks for popping by.

  1. Gorgeous coloring, and fabulous layout. Not only are you great with the DI’s, but the H20’s as well! (another medium I don’t do well! But love). Your colors are so perfect on these flowers, and your punch trim was a touch of elegance to these beautiful flowers. TFS

  2. Cor, you’re not kidding there Linda . . . WHEN is Spring going to come I wonder? It’s a little warmer today . . .but now raining – bit like yesterday!

Beautiful inspirational photo for your card. You’ve captured it perfectly.

  3. Wow what a gorgeous card, LOVE the magnolia and how you’ve coloured it. Spring sure is taking it’s time to arrive. We don’t even have the early crocus blooming yet. We had a winter storm, snow & ice on Thursday & Friday. I hope that is the end of it! Happy Sunday !
